Activity categories overview
Activity categories allow you to group similar activities together on reports and invoices.
Before you start
Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has Activities enabled.
Add activity categories
- Select Setup, then Activity Categories.
 - Select Add .
 - Enter an ID and Name for the activity category.
 - Enter an invoice description if you would like a different name to appear on your client's invoice.
 - Select Save when you're finished.
 
Set a category grouping for an activity
When you add an activity, choose the activity category to group activities together to display on reports and invoices.
Edit activity categories
- Select Setup, then Activity Categories.
 - Choose the activity category, then select Edit .
 - Make changes and select Save.
 
Delete activity categories
- Select Setup, then Activity Categories.
 - Choose the activity category, then select Delete.
 - Select Delete to confirm.
